About Me

Writer

Adesola has a variety of projects in development with production companies across London. She has also received script commissions from broadcasters such as the BBC and has led writer’s rooms under Kayode Ewumi’s production company Chatham Pictures. As a result, she is quickly establishing herself as a comedy and drama writer in the UK scene. She has a heart for sharing Black narratives where characters are relatable and not restricted to mainstream stereotypes.  Adesola aims to write scripts that encourage her audience to feel deeply. Her work strives to provide a balance of both warmth and introspection via comedy and drama mediums.

Presenter

Adessy is a skilled presenter with passions for film & TV, adulting and digital culture. She brings conversations to life through warmth and informality, creating space for both humour and depth in her discussions. She’s a confident presenter in both on and offline environments and has led panel discussions for the likes of Google and Endemol Shine UK.  Her newest venture is her film television podcast That Would Bang which is in partnership with Acast.

Development Producer

Adesola is also a development producer that has worked in both scripted and non-scripted broadcasting. She was recently headhunted by Chatham Pictures to build an extensive comedy and drama slate from scratch using the BBC Small Indie Fund. She has led writer's rooms, scouted talent and hosted a variety of development days for Chatham's projects. Which has resulted in a script commission and a variety of pitching opportunities.

Adesola’s work in non-scripted development started when she trained under Endemol Shine’s Brightbulb Development scheme. During her time there she learned the art of creating sellable formats for both factual and entertainment genres. She was trained to write treatments, lead brainstorms and pitch to commissioners. Whilst on placement with Remarkable’s Development team, she successfully pitched a game titled 'Stick It To The Man' for Richard Osmond's House of Games - which was introduced to the show's fourth series. Since then she has gone on to do freelance development work with Lenny Henry’s award-winning production company Douglas Road Productions.
